Hi there, I’m Lucas
I work as a project manager. I’m a parent and an expat living in Toronto, Canada.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to Canada wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much larger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more tangled than they should.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning on the fly. But gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Lucid Harbor Nest
Most online information was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Canada.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Practical know-how from living in Canada
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site isn't:
- An official tourism resource
- Sponsored review site
- A general travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Canada continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we learn.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Lucas
